Small bungalow in a serene location next to the Hikkaduwa lagoon. Property includes 1/2 acre of landscaped garden, 10m x 3m private swimming pool and jetty on the lagoon. Separate kitchen and caretaker's room. 5 min tuk tuk ride from Hikkaduwa town.
The space
Quiet and unspoiled natural location. The lagoon banks are lined with mangroves, and the jetty provides a great view of the water. We have many visiting birds including kingfishers, parakeets, orioles, woodpeckers and waders. Also a couple of water monitors.Canoe available for exploring the lagoon. Fishing rods and basic tackle box. Crate full of board games. Small bookshelf with selection of titles.

The perfect place to relax amidst nature - various birds, mongoose, and monitors visit the property. A great pool, well-maintained vegetation, access to a boat and a lake, delicious breakfasts prepared by the caretaker.
Really wonderful stay. Felt like a VIP with our own swimming pool. The caretaker cooks fantastic breakfasts which is included in the price and can also prepare other meals at request. The lagoon is right there and the free boat is perfect for stunning sunrises on the lake-we woke up, swam in the pool, got in the boat and watched the sunrise every day. We are not earlybirds either! Amazing to watch and hear the wildlife- it looks and sounds like a jungle! Our best stay ever in Sri Lanka (over the years 8 weeks in total). It is quiet-no noise pollution. The beach is a good walk away, or take a tuk-tuk. Enjoy!
